“Reality TV is the Reality of TV” - Lisa Kudrow
While I am waiting for my project deployment to finish, I thought of writing this article and tell everyone how I love to watch reality shows. I find them entertaining and fun to watch. Here are some of those that I really like:
American Idol. This show has produced some of the big selling artists today (though I am not a fan of all of them) – Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Katherine McPhee, Jennifer Hudson, etc. Seeing random people doing their very best in auditions is a good part but seeing them turned down by the judges especially Simon Cowell (plus his in-your-face comments) is the best! Plus, the show has the best host ever!
The Amazing Race
Asia. I haven’t seen any of the episodes of the first 2 seasons but I think, the show is good. As the teams travel to different locations by following the route information, performing some various tasks, and checking in at the Pit Stop. The last team to arrive may be eliminated, depending on the rule set for each leg.
Since I am a Filipino, a lot of people would expect to vote for my country’s representative. But, sad to say, I don’t want them to win because they are the meanest team this season. Instead I’m voting for the Hong Kong Boys (Sam and Vince) to win or maybe Ida and Tania!
I heard that this show has ended but no one can disclose the results. Well, let’s see!
Cheaters. “Exercise your right to be informed!” – This is the famous line from this show. It attempts to investigate one’s infidelity activities. My favorite part: the Confrontation! Hosted by the Joey Greco, this show is a must-see!
Punk’d. Hosted (and also produced) by Ashton Kutcher, this show performs practical jokes to Hollywood celebrities. This is very entertaining to watch as celebrities play cool or worse, freak out!
TMZ. I’m just not sure on what TMZ means but one thing’s for sure, this show rocks! Seeing your favorite Hollywood star on the most unexpected moment is truly an entertainment.
